Allicom is an alliance between three of the largest producers of sugar and ethanol in Brazil: São João, Santa Cruz and São Martinho groups.

This consortium has the mission of develop business intelligence, anticipating trends from sugar and ethanol world market and detecting business opportunities. Its strategy is to work with the possibility of achieve scale, through the addition of the supply capacity of sugar and ethanol from these three groups that are perfectly located according the logistic view; such fact speeds and facilitates the production's distribution.

Allicom also works as a shared services center, caring for the whole operational part on business area, negotiating products, periods, prices and volumes. Each company from this consortium keeps its autonomy for strategic decisions, according its own management model.

Allicom already appears as the third major Brazilian group in sales volume, with 1 million tons of sugar and 1.2 billion of ethanol liters on 2008/2009 season. During this season, Santa Cruz, São João and São Martinho groups processed 23 million tons of sugar cane. For 2009/2010, the expectation from Allicom consortium is that the milling achieves 25 million tons.

Copersucar S.A. initiates its activities as the biggest sugar and bioenergy company in the country

Copersucar S.A. , the biggest Brazilian sugar and ethanol company and one of the biggest exporters worldwide, came into operation on October 1st. With 33 mills in the states of São Paulo , Paraná and Minas Gerais, Copersucar S.A. intends to triple production by 2018, projecting a volume of 200 million tons of sugarcane. Within ten years, Copersucar S.A. plans to have a 30% share of the domestic market and be one of the major world players.

The company was created by the sugar and ethanol producers who are members of the Cooperativa dos Produtores de Cana-de-Acúcar , Açúcar e Álcool do Estado de São Paulo and who will now be the shareholders of Produpar, the holding company controlling Copersucar S.A.. The cooperative will continue to exist, maintaining its attributions of ensuring operational efficiency and flexibility in the supply of sugarcane-based products. All of its output will be delivered for exclusive commercialization by Copersucar S.A.

The new company will have greater flexibility to leverage investments and establish new strategic partnerships both in Brazil and abroad, reinforcing its domestic market leadership and expanding its global presence.

opersucar S.A. is interested in attracting new shareholders, believing it represents an attractive alternative for producers who wish to maintain autonomy in production but participate in a company that integrates the complete sugar and bioenergy business chain, from storage logistics and transportation to commercialization and delivery of the product to the end customer.

 

With the mission of producing energy on a sustainable basis through renewable sources, the COSAN Group operates with 18 manufacturing units and two refineries in the Interior of São Paulo State, and now begins to rollout a project aimed at the construction of three new plants in the state of Goiás. The Company also has two port terminals in Santos , in São Paulo 's coastal area.

The plants' installed capacity allows for a 44 million tonne sugarcane annual crushing production, resulting in approximately 3.1 million tonnes of sugar, and 1.5 billion liters of ethanol.

EXCELLENCE IN DOCUMENTATION ON EXPORT AND CUSTOMS PROPER PROCEDURES

The DEAG is one of DATAGRO's divisions, specialized in documentation and customs procedures. Since 1990, it offers services regarding the analysis of trade operations, emission of documents and customs channels, guaranteeing agility and safety in all stages of the process. 

These services allow a quick customs dispatch, procurement of boarding documents, and dependable statement of the process, providing reduction of time span and operational and financial costs in the export and import settlement. 

Our team is composed for 32 collaborators distributed in three offices: São Paulo , Recife and Santos . 

In 2008, the DEAG had managed more than 500 exporting ships – producing more than 1600 complete sets of boarding documents – and a volume of 1.6 million metric tons (tonnes) of sugar and 320 thousand cubic meters of ethanol.

Aiming to facilitate the export project, making it as rewarding as possible for the client, we provide the following services:

• Procurement of export licenses
• Customs proper procedures
• Emission of export documents
• Negotiation of documents with the bank.

 

Started in 2007, ETH Bioenergia works with the production, sales and logistics of ethanol, electric energy and sugar. In the same year, ETH acquired the Alcídia Unit, in Teodoro Sampaio, São Paulo . In 2008, the Eldorado Unit, located in Rio Brilhante, Mato Grosso do Sul, was also incorporated. In the 2008/09 harvest, the company produced 200 million liters of ethanol and 130 million tons of sugar.

ETH is a company of Organização Odebrecht, with 33% shares held by the Japanese company Sojitz Corporation, a multinational that sells commodities.

With the innovative proposal to integrate sales and logistics to its production, ETH?s goal is to be amongst the sector leaders in ten years. As such, it invests R$ 6 billion in the creation of three production poles, located in the states of São Paulo . Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul.

ETH inaugurates three new units in 2009, in the states of São Paulo , Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul, which are united to two others, already in operation. The five units? goal is to produce 470 million liters of ethanol and 160 million tons of sugar for the 2009/10 harvest.

The Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association (UNICA) is the largest organization in Brazil representing sugar, ethanol and bioelectricity producers. It was created in 1997, following a consolidation process involving regional organizations in the State of São Paulo after government deregulation of the sugar and ethanol sectors. UNICA members answer for more than 50% of all ethanol produced in Brazil and 60% of overall sugar production.

The organization is run by a Board of Directors composed of representatives of its member companies, and a full-time group of  experienced  executives, specialists and technical consultants whose expertise covers relevant áreas such as the environment, technology, energy, international trade, corporate social responsibility, legislation, economics and communications. In late 2007, UNICA launched its first international office in Washington D.C.   That was followed by the opening of its European office in Brussels , with a third international office in Asia expected by the end of 2008.
